Tragedy in the Twenties
It is the summer of 1924 and the setting is a garden party at the Hampstead home of Violet Hayes, the celebrated actress. Violet has appeared in several films and her parties are legendary. Unfortunately, this party is going to be memorable for all the wrong reasons. Violet has been found dead. It looks like suicide, but could it really be murder?
The suspects are:
Madame Zuleika, fortune-teller and clairvoyant to the rich and famous
Rose Darling, famous actress, beloved of West End audiences
Augustus Sprocket, an eminent scientist working to develop the first rocket
Eamonn Envoy, a diplomat formerly at the Embassy in Paris, now posted to the USSR
Rupert Legge-Spinner, the famous Surrey and England cricketer
Philippa Front-Page, a journalist recently returned from reporting on the fashion scene in Paris.
